Chapter 145 is a proud sponsor of the Denver School of Modern Greek, which has been teaching Greek language and culture in our community since 1945.

The school serves learners at every stage. Children start as young as four in the Day School or the after-school program that meets Mondays and Wednesdays. Teens and adults join classes built for beginners through advanced speakers, whether they're reconnecting with heritage, preparing for a trip to Greece, or working toward the Ellinomatheia, the internationally recognized certification of Greek language proficiency administered by the Centre for the Greek Language under the Hellenic Ministry of Education. Classes run in person at 4610 East Alameda Avenue and online, so distance isn't a barrier.

Greek heritage isn't required to enroll, which is a value AHEPA shares. Anyone who wants to learn the language is welcome.

Supporting the school is one of the most direct ways our chapter invests in the next generation. Language is how heritage actually survives, and the Denver School of Modern Greek has been doing that work here for eight decades.
